Since 1997, the Subaru Forester has combined SUV looks, all-wheel drive confidence, and a spacious interior in a well-priced, efficient package. Now, Subaru is introducing an all-new Forester Hybrid, offering everything you always loved about the Forester with an ultra-efficient hybrid powertrain that reduces fuel consumption by up to 40 percent.*
The 2025 Forester Hybrid is powered by Subaru’s next-generation hybrid system. The series-parallel hybrid setup integrates a 2.5-liter boxer engine with two electric motors and all-wheel drive. Total power output is 194 hp.
Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel drive system offers torque vectoring and works with vehicle dynamics control for ultimate safety. Off-road, there’s an “X-mode” to lock the torque distribution between the front and rear wheels, as well as hill descent control and 8.7 inches of ground clearance – more than many other SUVs.
According to U.S. EPA estimates, fuel efficiency is improved by a staggering 40 percent in the city compared to gasoline Forester models.
The latest Forester’s interior is more spacious and refined than ever. There is a new 12.3-inch instrument cluster with navigation and Apple Maps capability, and an 11.6-inch touchscreen offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Standard features include dual-zone climate control, power locks, windows, and mirrors, remote keyless access, tire pressure monitor, and a power liftgate. Also standard is Subaru’s award-winning EyeSight driver assistance system, which operates even more quickly than before, with a wider field of view, and in a wider range of conditions.
The Forester Hybrid is distinguished by its Hybrid badging on the fenders and power liftgate, and there is also an exclusive new exterior color, called Daybreak Blue Pearl, and an available black contrasting roof.
The 2025 Forester Hybrid is available now, and the first vehicles will be arriving at Pfaff Subaru later this spring.
